I just hate this culture of :oh my main good buffed -> good patch! i have lost to someone playing a char that got nerfed -> good patch my char got nerfed?? -> bad patch

Yeah, lots of people are saying it. Already say a few pros celebrating this patch cause their chars are untouched and the nerfs directly affected bad MUs.

this is never going to stop with modern games, and this is a huge reason why melee is so legendary.

It kinda go hand in hand with the patch culture with games nowadays. Melee is great because patches are non existent and a tech I learned X years ago is still possible to do in the present time w/o worrying about changes

I hate this patch. Most people saying they like this patch think they have a better shot at winning lowkey because pichu and a few others were nerfed. I want the overall game patched and Online being the biggest issue.

If I like Diddy and he gets buffed of course I'll be happy and say good patch, and if olimar is worse and I don't use him at all and a couple of other top tiers then in my eyes that would seem great. Happy if your char is nurfed? Boi that's just crazy. People are happy so let them be! Yes the Wolf and Pichu nurfs were more then needed I know this. To sum it up Buffs make me happy and someones char who I don't use gets nurfed puts me at an advantage, Baka

everyone opinions on this patch are first impressions and theory, to properly review the patch now would be silly, need to see some results before making any solid conclusions. people are likely saying that about their mains as a reaction, and is not a full review of the patch

Nerfs should really be reserved for things that are actually game breaking. Making pichu, a glass canon character rack up damage on himself roughly twice as fast, and make some moves kill later isn't fixing anything game breaking.
