Worst part about the patch is timing tho tbh. 3.0 was not long ago at all, for there to be constant balance changes inbetween dlc chars and with no fixes to online and other modes... Yeah I'm so over it.

Just like in smash 4, the most likely scenario is that the current top tiers stay top tier and keep getting hits to KO power at random timings. Terrible for anyone playing competitively.

I would think a conservative patching philosophy is WAY better for competitive players, since it means you don't have to reevaluate your character choice every two months when the tier list gets overhauled.

In 4 all the top tiers stayed the same, despite being nerfed in every patch. Only new top tiers really were dlcs.

The biggest competitive issue is probably that snake got buffed.

His buff is in line with the general multi hit move buffs. Not really a big deal.
