japan is definitely looking like a far stronger -overall- region for ultimate, and maybe even better at the top top level. it's honestly crazy (and a little embarassing for NA) considering how few of their top players are full time. gonna talk about it in depth on stream today.

as for me and armada, real talk - we have had no advantages what so ever compared to american top players and the downsides - worse practice, long travels (fewer tournaments to attend to show off skill), harder to go fulltime, worse streaming hours, visa issues and playing PAL.

(before anyone comes in, no me and armada do not practice often in sweden and live 6 hours away from each other, we used to practice far more often in America than sweden )

Homecourt advantage is very real and in physical sports people never debate this at all In smash it's almost controversional when you say homecourt advantage is real

In physical sports your home court is where you practice almost every day and is where to feel the most comfortable. In smash, while the crowd might be more in your favor, a tourney in your state just doesn’t give you the same comfort as the court you always play on at least imo.
