well, its mostly because america has a massive advantage in its top players being full time and all tournaments being on homecourt for them. This extends and keeps going - top players in ultimate were full time all the time since 4/brawl

Japanese players are more willing to work together and practice with as many players as they can to help everyone improve. NA players focus too hard on ONLY playing good players that they know. Not a bad thing just hinders the growth the Japanese players show

Idk about the Japan part but id say the NA part is accurate.

good, NA is constantly on it's high horse and sometimes needs to be knocked down a peg or 2. I'm excited to see where a Japanese led meta can take us and how it can challenge NA's top players

Seriously, for example when NA commentators are talking about top players of a certain character, they rarely consider Japanese players
