i hope people realize that just because ultimate isnt my favorite game/community of all time doesn't mean that i think its terrible, and the reason why I try to bring attention to the problems is because there is so much potential there. i really hope to be proven wrong

Exactly this, Ultimate is frustrating not because its bad because it easily has the potential. The ingredients are there and it could be so much better, it COULD be but it feels unlikely with the pacing of the patches and changes.

I was never a fan of that idea that people have where "I prefer X over Y" automatically means to them "I hate Y". It just shows a very clear black and white morality sort of thing going on.

people want to justify their hate of your opinions by being like "oh leffen never played smash 4" or "is always changing mains" "is a melee player" like i didnt realize leffen's solid tourney results make his opinions of the game irrelevant compared to their 0-2 reddit asses

They're hypocrites anyway because the people who say that have probably never played Melee or 64. I'm pretty sure their point of the argument is that they're not true to the whole Smash scene
