Leffen i've played this character for 4 years and mainly this MU against my good Marth buddy i'm not gonna name every single followup possible that leads to death for the sake of this argument. Also getting Puff to above 100% isn't hard when Marths keep failing their pivots :P

again, i know theres tons of different followups, but your odds to land a pivot tipper/the perfect combo followup is very often around 50% or lower if the opponent has a decent awareness (10-11 frames for just the dash grab, 7 for each throw, so reacting is possible)

10+7 = 17 - 1 = 16 cause you have to input the DI before you are actually thrown

Adding in the 10 frames is literally pointless dude. I’m still guessing on what direction I’ma be thrown. If there was only 1 throw then this would make sense but it’s not 1 throw. You have to guess

its not pointless, if it was 7 frames then you wouldnt even have time to guess, and since no DI gets combod/tippered youd have a WAY lower success rate. Please dawg, im trying not to be sassy but you clearly have not done your research on how this works. its very basic DI theory.

Leffen's saying it's possible to react to/predict the grab and DI to avoid pivot tipper. 2saint is saying it's not possible to react to the throw to DI properly all the time regardless of what Marth does. You're both correct, you're just arguing different points.

Not at all. He first says the grab startup is "literally pointless", then says "You only have the time to guess cause of the 10+7 = 17 thing we were just talking about" right after. He is clearly wrong, not arguing different points at all.
