A few off the top of my head: - double lvl 1 supers nerfed so assist links (bardock) and ssj goku combos nerfed - guard cancel is the primary defensive tool so blockstrings are worse —> stagger instead - videl is if A17 was actually a real char, jiren is a corner dmg monster
Can someone give me a good recap of the big changes in the dbfz patches and how they influence the meta?

They changed some other things like superdash qualities (won’t be vanish), assist lockout after snap, and meter gain is muchhhhhh worse now overall. But overall it still feels the same for the past few months or so.

You don’t gain meter after spending any bar for a certain period level 3s are effected longer by this and so is ghost oki/hellzone. Guard cancel is completely invincible but does lose to anti airs still. Snap back is the meta to negate guard cancel. The top tiers before you left

Are still the same that hasn’t changed. The new shell is xxx/bardock/SSJ goku. Sliding knock down. Basically you want a team that can snap back without using meter and then do a fucked up 50/50 and just keep repeating.

Backdash buff . Beam -> Vanish -> 5L can be backdashed. IMO this makes big characters a lot better on point since you can't just win with Beam -> Vanish. Also makes stagger pressure a lot better since you can backdash mid-pressure to bait mashing.

Guard Cancel has full invincibility now, so its basically a get outta jail free card, plus you can sparking out of block strings, and double super does no damage now
