No Pokémon trainer on screen to cancel their animation = no Swede swap. Swede swapping works bc a special cancels the trainers “return to pokeball” animation.

You can make 2 tags with same controll for example. Then the squad strike version will be played where it goes back to the character select. With this method the Pokemon Trainer will appear. Maybe making 2 controlls just for swede swapping
