you don't need grab to start his advantage state, and sure his grab is bad the theoretical perfect world isn't the same as the world we live in, the one where dk/zss in s4 could fish for grabs at the top level with setups and find great success

as long as you have insanely good throw setups fishing for grab will always be somewhat viable if you know how to condition people and have some normals that mixup into it, no matter who it is

well grabs were infinitely more powerful in 4, and ivys grab is a short 12 frame tether with no other good ground normals - he doesnt actually have good mixups into grab sadly

does his nair always hit with every hit? or could you do a drag down nair into grab?

nair dragdown is negative on hit lol

Bair 1 also has like VERY little hit advantage so that one sadly can't be used either
