If I was a competitive ICs player, you would see some incredibly sick anti-wobbling-ban arguments from me on the timeline. Instead somehow the fucking Samus population has come out to bat for the wobblers while y'all are dead silent LOL

Wobbles had some good coherent points on it Also I'm not staunchly for or against, just really really annoyed at the populist arguments being thrown out there
I personally think @ICWobbles missed the point that anti wobblers are trying to make completely tbh. It's not whether or not its literally a free major win, the argument is that it promotes degenerate play (or not).

Arguing for banning wobbling in the direction of promoting degenerate play which results in lower viewership/attendance and is a detriment to the community as a whole is the best point I've seen. I'm waiting for somebody to bring up data on that point to support the ban

I think its hard since very few tournaments ban wobbling lol Maybe we will see now

Anecdotal experience: I stopped wobbling people because I found it boring, and opponents continued to camp my balls off because it turns out an effective strategy becomes even more effective when my punish game gets worse.

It might not actually be optimal for them to do that though with wobbling banned, could just be force of habit. If it's less risky for them to approach you given nerfed punish game, they -should- do so more. On the other hand,
