People who think that restreaming tournaments with permission is somehow "stealing" content are so fucking stupid its insane. Holy shit what.

To be fair, the tournaments don't really have a choice in the matter. Either the broadcast team agrees to the permission, or the streamer streams normally and steals up to 10k viewers. I'm sure the TO's get paid for this content sharing, but it's still not a very good situation

An MBA in marketing with a focus on Segmentation. I also don’t mean steal in terms of steal content, just that a large streamer would detract from a tournament’s view count if that large streamer was playing ultimate.

as a person with logic, no tournament is owed monopoly over the entire game and they do in fact, not own the viewers. The amount of people zero and top players bring to smash in the first place is one of the main reasons the scene is healthy and alive.
