I'm still not sure if I want to compete in Ultimate or focus on streaming/making content for it honestly. If I took it seriously my stream would be so different, not sure if people would still support it much tbh.

Especially with how bad the online is, the practice you get while streaming even if you are only playing your main is actually extremely worthless to even a 1/10th of the same time played offline with no distractions and no stream to entertain.

A lot of the time it's just dead serious grinding, for hours on end, with the only breaks for food, water and mental rest to ponder what you could be doing better. For weeks straight if not months. People who think that makes an entertaining stream are few and far between.

Facts!!! Training means stream is boring or no stream at all Streaming a fighting game as a pro player is so different since you have to troll, play random chars, and engage with the chat so concentration levels are not within the game. 2 different worlds

I appreciate watching training methods though, it teaches me a lot on how people do things differently, Daigos stream is so good because of that I love watching him train.

People who don't stream think streaming involves no sacrifice/drawbacks I've had people ask me why I haven't tried to start a stream for Melee & it's like I work full time/want to be the best I can be at Melee I don't wanna waste my limited time/energy entertaining strangers

I'd actually love to see a stream like that it'd really help to see how a top player practices and how they think and really gives you a different perspective. Sadly I do think you're right about not many people wanting to watch that which is a shame

Go watch one of Armada’s streams if you want that. He used to practice just bodying a cpu falcon as fox for hours on end lol

Not sure anyone has actually tried streaming smash this way. A real insight into becoming tip top lvl. You may surprise yourself with the results. Speed runners have hugely popular streams hard grinding a single trick for days and days.

Because a large part of speedruns are just rote memorization. When the tricky parts come up, streamers can take their focus off the stream and focus on the game. Playing a dynamic and competitive game at a top level is very different and simply requires more constant 100% focus.

You can either focus on growing your stream and sub count while being entertaining or risk growth for the viewers who would stay for the serious ultimate grind streams. I would say try a few days of a serious grind stream and see how it plays out for you and your stream
