I'm still not sure if I want to compete in Ultimate or focus on streaming/making content for it honestly. If I took it seriously my stream would be so different, not sure if people would still support it much tbh.

I feel like there is a lot of people who actually think that me,
@zerowondering and other streamers have been "seriously" practicing the game just because we have been creating content for it. Maybe for some people that is what practice looks like, but it is not even close for meDiesen Thread anzeigen
Especially with how bad the online is, the practice you get while streaming even if you are only playing your main is actually extremely worthless to even a 1/10th of the same time played offline with no distractions and no stream to entertain.

A lot of the time it's just dead serious grinding, for hours on end, with the only breaks for food, water and mental rest to ponder what you could be doing better. For weeks straight if not months. People who think that makes an entertaining stream are few and far between.

It's actually disappointing to see how bad online is. Switch is the 1st console I've had since GameCube and I picked it up for Ultimate after not playing Smash for nearly 20 years. This online play feels so out of date and it seems pathetic after experiencing PC gaming this long.

If you broke up your time in a day, and dedicated certain hours to a serious grind, and other hours towards an interactive chat experience I think you'd have the best of both worlds. Just label your stream accordingly, and I bet you'll still have quite a following. Good luck!

I want to say "go for it" but these are the two reasons why that seems so hard. The online sucks and seriously training while entertaining a stream would be really difficult :/ It would be neat for us but probably not great for you at all.

I have literally never gotten a game that wasn't my ruleset. And only a handful of times I have gotten bad connection. The online is not THAT bad.

I promise you the difference in input lag between online and offline is extreme. Even if you're not experiencing a choppy connection, online is still very different.
