Wait so do you not like Nier?

i like the story/music/visuals The gameplay is utter trash that actively hinders me from enjoying the former.

The pc port is terrible and the game is very low budget at times (bosses having 3 attacks that all cant hit you) despite costing 60 dollars almost 2 years after release. The sidequests have vital story but are a complete tragedy to actually play through.

Im only on the beginning of route c but the beginning of that had me replay 1+hr of content due to 1. The game telling me "saving is possible" and then giving me game over for trying Then 2. When "limping" i did not save cuz of former + timer, walked into pit and soft locked.

As someone who is a fan of this exact genre (plat games + exisistential weeb shit) its been a huuuuge letdown so far. I can only hope that route c is actually better as some people say and not simply remembered as better because everyone who couldnt eat up shit combat quit before

Naw no prob. Damn! Sorry you're having a subpar experience with it :< Personally I accept most single player games are too ez these days so I just play em for the story/music ahah

as much as I can understand that,I don't need a hard game, but I do want a game that at least uses the fact that its a game rather than a book or video. I think nier fails at utilizing this in the core gameplay loop completely while suceeding in it sometimes during story missions
