it's not that you can't hit it, it's that the act of just jumping offstage to hit it is committal and reactable i def agree he can get stuffed offstage, just don't think it's as free as you're thinking--people will get better tho, and maybe in the future it will be lol
Bro i play fox a fair bit. You can not react to the opponent going off stage unless he is giving you a tell for free. And it is not committal, at all. Inkling does not get counter gimped.
Fox ledge trap is so real, any edge guard attempt is committal I also think inkling gets ledgetrapped kinda hard in general, and coneys right about the no frontwards facing burst move All imo ofc
Problem with fox vs inkling imo onstage is that he has no good grab combo and bairs only real weakness is being shield grabable I think falco might do better since he can also dair recovery to at least keep them guessing
not counter gimped, but losing stage is no small thing, esp if the other character wins onstage like i said i have a block vs Fox anyway so it might be just me, but i've seen it from other Inks too. prob just gonna disagree on it for now, hopefully see Cosmos v. Light soon lol
I agree with most of what you said, but you can almost always react to the opponent going offstage for an edge guard after a strong hit which knocks you off. It's an integral part of the edgeguard cycle.
