I can not see inkling not being able to edgeguard spacies lmao. I have an hard time seeing fox beating them on stage hard enough to make up for a huge edge guarding difference, but i do agree its prob one of the closer mus.
Also big disagree on swords, uthrow uair into juggle and parry+low dash makes neutral extremely risky for the opponent. They also cant edgeguard them at all while swords get shitted on offstage
agree on the edgeguarding thing, and yeah that's super strong and makes it scary for swordies. i think it's a very slight adv but it exists, just my feeling tho
Agree with coney in that inklings have weak frontal oos options. So chars like fox, wolf, and swordies force inkling to just jump away or sit in shield longer Not as blatantly exploitable as ‘just gimp him lel’ but that’s realistically the characters only weakness
The usual thing I've heard a lot from Inkling players is them struggling against swords like lucina. Obviously won't be anything big but being spaced out and edge gaurded actually is something that while, not like they can't work around, they will still struggle with.
From experience playing Inkling, their closest thing to a weakness is being edge guarded. When playing Inkling you hope the other player doesn't realize that you can just press A against her recovery and keep hitting them out lol.
