Its the one matchup I feel like pokemon trainer is just like Regardless of which one I use they have no flaws I can abuse They edgeguard and uthrow uair zard so he wont live long Too fast+low dash for ivy And squirtle just gets outranged and dies to roller at 70 Shit be hard
I think MAYBE yoshi or peach are the only chars I can see winning over them RN. Obv could be wrong but I feel like as time goes on they might be significantly better than the rest just because of not needing another char to cover matchups.
They're the only char that doesn't get upthrow uair kill comboed i think, turns into a 5050 on guessing if theyll swap or not. Pretty useful for the mu imo
It doesnt combo on them? I thought they tested against that.
Fox and Snake are the only two characters ive seen able to deal with Inkling thus far.

I’ve probably just never played an amazing Inkling but I think Pokémon Trainer does particularly well against Inkling.
Zone and condition them to approach aggressively, whiff punish their approach and do it all again. I feel like ultimate requires a crazy strong punish game, and yours in melee is crazy good, so it’s just a matter of time for you probably. Also get really good at mashing.
havent fought a top level yet but I've found spamming razor leaf works since it stops splat bombs and roller
