i literally never said that, in fact I said that it should prob be implemented. That is FAR from all of melees ledge mechanics however, and I think the good easily outweighs the bad.

I just read the main tweet at hand and while I can't really give much of a fair perspective on ledge hogging etc, regrab invulnerability just seems objectively bad

Where did the tweet even say that? Also ledge regrab invul isnt nearly as abuseable in 99% of situations as people think tbh, because of the risk of getting edgeguarded if you do get hit in melee.

In shad's defense when people think of melee ledges they think polarizing things (ie invulnerable planking, invincible ledgedash) smash 4 ledges felt very unique in the meta as they became the equivalent of having someone knocked down in the corner in traditional fighters
