A straight-forward objective is a goal you achieve. The means to achieve it, they were varied for most of the cast. DK COULD go unga bunga grab, but there were ways to play against counter-grab strategies that allowed DK to still get grabs on characters that were hard to grab.
see i prefer to be able to combo without only relying on grabs, thats actually one of my biggest gripes. Very limited options for many great chars.

Very much agreed. Grabs being toned down in Ultimate with the other options becoming more useful for characters like Bowser is fantastic.
