Its still a "hard/high maintenance team" but yeah just cant see myself enjoying bardock and if im gonna put in effort it should be with a team that fully rewards it. Kaz also proved u can play Gohan simply.

The character select crisis is real. I think Gohan would offer a lot with DP assist and his fast lvl 1. If he doesn't work out though maybe consider Tien? He has pretty nice synergy with Gotenks and a lot of mixup potential in blockstrings to creat early advantages.

I know it's not common to play him first but I think there's potential for it to be good with your shell specifically.
