I feel like people assume I dislike DS1 cuz im dying a lot when in reality I'm upset that the game is too easy because I've seen someone play the same part once before and so that part its barely hard anymore. That wouldn't happen in many other games that I consider hard.
"oh i remember this streamer dying here to a surprise OHKO move" ok just gonna not do that. *gets to boss* man, thats pretty far, and hard with few estus, but I remember seeing that you can just run past enemies, oh wow now the boss is fucking free.
This all said, Im gonna keep playing and ill soon get to parts i havent seen played, so hopefully it gets better.

If you've seen the answers on a test that test suddenly get's a lot easier, it's really no different here.
If a games entire difficulty depends on surprise gimmicks it’s not actually difficult it’s just frustratingly cheesey
it's really a game that, experientially, rewards both going in blind to some extent and persistence above all else. "hard" isn't exactly the right word for it.

Knowing what's ahead only helps so much, the beginning of the game is intentionally easier to ease you in. Don't worry about if a game is hard or not, it will get challenging as you go. Most people have trouble with the Capra Demon boss as the first "difficult" one
