Played a few hours of dark souls on my flight. Fun but very buggy and unfinished/wonky at times.. I'm pretty let down by the combat, its far more grindy and repetitive than I expected - feels like its far more based around trial and error rather than being deep and skillful. Meh.
The atmosphere and level design is great, but the hilariously shitty audio (switch only) along with all the bugs and inconsistent AI that youre forced to play around makes it feel very "gamey" and takes me out of it every time.
Lmfao. The game will kill you and reset progress with one hit KO move that you can only realistically avoid if youve seen it before but sure, just learn to see the future, im just bad!
youd probably enjoy bloodborne, combat is very evasive (no/extremely limited blocking) and faster paced it's my favorite of the series
See, I thought I would enjoy Bloodborne for all those same reasons and while it definitely is much faster and more fluid than Dark Souls I still had that same issue of things coming down to trial & error :/

I'm a little hurt. Also playing on switch for the first time is probably not the best way. Combat doesnt click with people at first and honestly either does the game took john a long time to get into it. I assure you though if you get over the hump it will pay off.
