The nerve in question runs through the backside of your elbow (the soft little bit you can poke into with a finger). I'd suspect you simply slept on it and it's nothing to worry about. Can always do some stretches for it if you want.

I've had this happen. It's often colloquially referred to as "Saturday night palsy" and occurs when you fall asleep on a limb and dont wake up in time to get circulation back in. Usually goes away in a week or 2 at the most

Carpal Tunnel patient here - that doesn't sound like CT. Most common numbness for CT that i've had is finger tips. Also weakness in grip is another sign.
