I may for example have my disagreements with @CEOJebailey (and i certainly am to blame for it getting blown up) but I never once have felt like what I say falls on deaf ears. It feels clear as day that both of us want the best possible event, but we disagree on how to do it.

Yeah, I feel you. A ton of issues fgc side too that don't necessarily get swept under the rug if I'm obnoxious enough (in person) but nothing ever gets properly addressed. Tbh, sadly our perception of evo from a competitor standpoint is that it's a convention 1st, tournament 2nd.
I've gotten screwed by a bunch of poor logistics and bad decisions on staff end, but what can you do lol. Even on "our" end, I don't really think it's something re: Smash more than just evo period. Honestly even in isolated severe cases of fault it's just "uhh. Shit, sorry."

ya many games for evo sadly get pushed to the wayside for various reasons. I think if people keep voicing displeasure though it can get changed eventually. *desperately avoids thinking about the it's all money discussion*
