to expand on this - I feel like in the beta SOME chars/matchups had proper edgeguarding/kill options in the beta, while others were exactly the same. Gives me hope that the rest will be aligned with those instead of the ones more similar to smash 4.

Im optimistic about this since I heard Nintendo was asking for feedback, maybe they made those characters in the beta that way to see our reaction
I can understand that. You see certain characters every time in tourney. I feel ultimate will get some character diversity though.
