to expand on this - I feel like in the beta SOME chars/matchups had proper edgeguarding/kill options in the beta, while others were exactly the same. Gives me hope that the rest will be aligned with those instead of the ones more similar to smash 4.

1. with almost certain instant death if you air Dodge off stage (or you're required to recover OD low) how aren't there good edge guarding options? Although there are magnet hands it is much harder to get on the stage after grabbing the ledge compared to Melee.

2. I think we need to give some time with the new Parry Mechanic + people practicing with their mains before we make judgments about killing options.

Still think you could have been really good in Smash Wii U if you enjoyed the game, but yeah I respect your opinion on the game and agree with your thoughts, it's just different, kinda playing for neutral mostly versus combo game etc.

i dont think its about how neutral heavy a game is, its just that the neutral is poorly executed and dull in smash 4 to IMO, and the advantageous positions (combos, edgeguard, tech chase, shield pressure, DI) are all really wonky imo.

edgeguarding and whiff punishing already look wayyyyyy better laggy airdodges and run cancelling are really good changes
