Of all you complaints about seeding ( it’s ALWAYS the Melee players that complain the most about seeding) have you once suggested what you would do differently rather than whine about it or even fill out the feedback form so my team can take it into consideration?https://twitter.com/tsm_leffen/status/1011062862033440771 …

I do not want to have to do the seeding for you. I am not the chef, i am just someone who wants a decent meal and can see a raw uncooked steak on the table. Tiered seeding as a whole this early is frankly bad and adds stupid chance - thats the #1 problem and without changing it-

Any individual changes will just come down to a reroll of chance. Even in the tiered systems theres weird things (hook should likely not be in the highest skill tier) but since none of that is public we dont know what is whats intended. I'm happy to help if that changes.

Also, that feedback form does not seem to be for changing overall seeding, just swapping pools from regional conflicts etc, thats why I didnt post anything there. What I am concerned by is the final top 48/24 etc

It’s an official Grand Tour event and the first one with a lot at stake. If you’re making it to top 48/24 out of 500+ players and can’t beat other players man then changing one or two seeds isn’t going to help you take down the whole thing.

This is really shitty reasoning. Even the best player in the world has a lower chance to beat the 2nd best player than the 32nd. This isnt to make my or anyone elses bracket easier in partiucular, but the entire bracket as it is will be full of faults.

And it is specifically because its a world tour event with a lot at stake that you should make sure that the entire bracket isnt made with terrible seeding. Its a bad look for the tournament and worse for everyone who worked hard to earn a good seed and paid to enter.

People are paying to enter a tournament to determine the best player on that day. 9/10 times no matter how you seed it the top 16-32 players will remain the same sans 2-6 up and comers/upsetters. I haven’t seen any complaints from other DBFZ players whatsoever.

Then why have seeding at all with your logic? Just let everyone find randomly, because "90%" of the time people will place like they should anyway! I cant speak for other players but the seeding wasnt published so the absence of whine isnt exactly proof its good.

And acting as if the top 32 would be identical with every single good player in one pool (since you said "no matter how you seed it") is literally impossible. Its just straight up untrue.

Theres a reason why every major sport does seeding. It matters. A LOT. And if youre gonna do it then do it properly and do it well. I'm going to sleep, if the seed and its system is made public then I'll be happy to help tomorrow.
