I paid 75 dollars venue fee for CEO and flights+hotel cost over a grand easy. Im lucky because I'm sponsored and usually at least seeded somewhere, but someone else might take their only vacation of the year, going to 1 major, only to get screwed by lazy seeding.That is not okay.
Dawg they're literally asking people to submit complaints about seeding a week in advance to make sure things are good. I don't understand this take lol
what do you mean? The form didnt even indicate that they would change anything more than pools. The changes i brought up are being considered just now, despite them being glaringly obvious.

I really do appreciate how you are thinking about not just people who have S-tier sponsorships. Players who do take the game seriously and want a fair-seeded shot at notoriety and recognition. Leffen has had the greatest character arc in the melee community, free. Keep at it, man
So your saying that people could lose a tournament because they played against a good player? You don't say. Look you go into a tourney expecting to play people who are better than you. If someone wants to spend their money and effort to travel to a major and go 0-2 but just...
...to have fun thats cool. That is their business but going into something like that and getting upset over the obvious consequences is foolish and on them. Not on "lazy seeding".

I haven't agreed more. I've been seeded into a top 50 s4 player my r1 every major and I make it to LF in my pool every time. (Barely lose) But clearly I'm not a last seed, but I always put in that spot. It hurts. Major TOs should put more effort into pools
