    New research to help save the Pygmy Blue-tongue lizard! Researchers at SA's Flinders University have received a research grant worth over $400,000 to relocate lizards to a sheep farm in a cooler location & build some artificial burrows.

    Hats off to these South Australians who recently gathered to construct more than 100 nesting boxes for small animals on Kangaroo Island. The Aus Gov is providing funding to to mobilise volunteers through a national coordination point.

    We're carrying out emergency recovery work to assist the western ground parrot after recent fires destroyed about 6000ha of known habitat in Cape Arid National Park. Additional feral cat baiting has already occurred & we will be doing more ground assessments in the coming weeks.

    Stocky galaxias (Critically Endangered) is only found in a shallow 3km stretch of Tantangara Creek in Kosciuszko National Park. If fires reaches there (pink dot) it could be game over for another Australian threatened species
