155 yrs ago today the 13th Amendment passed, abolishing slavery. But involuntary servitude has continued. Mass incarceration carries forward the legacy of slavery. Deeply rooted racism in our criminal justice system deprives African Americans of their rights. It has to end.

  2. Slow clap for this legislation! Was the young black woman behind him trafficked I wonder. He gave her a pen. He said he signed more legislation 'by far' than any other legislation than any other legislation (9 pieces) & Homeland Security's 'Blue Campaign'

  3. Watching Al Jazeera live on utube and they've got this Chinese guy that specializes in painting Van Gogh copies. He sells them to the Van Gogh museum in England & Amsterdam for $80 bucks each, grade school drop out and has small factory in China.

  4. African Brits actually THINK that THEY ARE US... Who are their heroes? Can you name ONE Black Brit of note that has done anything worthy of international memory that's not an actor or athlete and that's only one Lenox Lewis that I can remember!

  5. If you want to understand the mindset of African Brits and racial politics, check out this movie from 2012 called 'A United Kingdom' - it's about the King of Botswana going to the UK and marrying a white brit woman then bringing her back to be the queen.

  6. DID YOU KNOW if u want to improve your chances on the international job market in Africa (development, UN jobs, WHO for nurses/doctors, consultant work) you will be more likely to get shortlisted if you speak French?

  7. The most searched individuals on google are ADOS black people. Say It Loud... don't let our legacy be diluted by people that moved to America for a better life. We didn't move anywhere, we were bred and born here.

  8. you'd be really really surprised at how many females are members of government in Africa. Normal numbers are between 40 and 50%+. Don't believe because a woman wears a head scarf that she's 'oppressed' in societal roles cuz she's female. The US numbers aren't as high!

  11. Tony Blair is delusional. The 'Empire' was built on black & brown bodies & minerals This “should open a new chapter in Britain’s relationship with Africa” 2 one based on “economic cooperation rather than simply an aid-based, donor-recipient relationship”

  13. As J Anthony Brown used to say on Tom Joyner (before he quit in disgust over political censorship) 'damn white people!' But ALL these environment movements and the coverage is blatantly racist unless they are showing poor people digging in garbage.

  14. U would think there wouldn't be any 'fight' about this at all but as usual people in public spaces that aren't of the same lineage are destroying the perception of reparations by kicking up dirt and infighting amongst people that are easily manipulated.

  16. Our history is not immigrant history, it's 100% different and that's why I accept the ADOS label - it needs to be up front, in the open for all to see and SHAME THEM every time they hear it. I'm not ashamed, not at all. I am an American Descendant of Slavery and it is what it is

  17. This is why reparations should only go towards native blacks. 1gen and children of immigrants need 2b our allies instead of our enemy. We have never been theirs even when they took our places as 'the good blacks' But they aren't us. They weren't bred on a slave farm... we were.

  18. "Most American slaves were not kidnapped on another continent PAY ATTENTION: ONLY 400,000-500,000 landed in present day America. How then to account for the four million black slaves who were tilling fields in 1860? “ WE WERE BRED LIKE CATTLE THAT'S HOW!
