This is only a demand for more pay. These individuals demand higher pay when millions of people are out of work NOT earning incomes. This is no worse a demand during trying times as then when 1981 air traffic controllers union strike was a demand for huge pay increases.

It's called hazard pay. It's a very logical and traditional labor demand, as is the demand for proper PPE. People won't risk their lives (or the lives of their families) for $13 an hour. They just won't do it.
