Or it could....wait for it.....make sure that MLK's dream "that all people be judged on the content of their character instead of by the color of their skin" is actually able to happen now. Let everyone get in by accomplishments and grades not by what color their skin is.
This decision, more than anything, is at odds with the recent #SCOTUS reminder that affirmative action remains constitutionally permissible.
