Today marks the 150th anniversary of the 15th amendment. Ratified in 1870, the 15th amendment was designed to grant Black men . Despite its passage, restrictive voter laws were rampant and prevented Black Americans from voting.

This rollback could really hurt people who use wells to get their drinking water. It also gives polluters a roadmap for where the federal government won’t be looking should they choose to dump illegally.

10 years ago this week, Haiti felt the last aftershock of a devastating 7.0 earthquake. Over 200K were killed, 300K injured, & 1.5M displaced. The damage left in its wake severed access to power & clean water, forced Haitians into camps, and caused a resurgence of diseases.
