When a person hits that subscribe button they are saying, I want this person's content... not I want you @Youtube to decide what portion of content I get.... C'mon guys, to subscribe is an action, which means that sub is saying, give me this content

Why wouldn't you just give the people annoyed to have an option to turn off notifications and leave the default as always on.

When the YouTube staff see a common complaint, the first question they ask is "How can we do this in a way that will not only piss off the majority of people that use our platform to view content but also make the lives of our content creators a panic filled hell?"
