In the current upbeat & forward looking world of HIV/AIDS prevention/treatment, it can be easy to forget the depth of loss we suffered in those early yrs. Thanks for sharing this. (Nothing wrong with being hopeful & celebrating how far things have come. It was a long 40 years.)

We lost our church organist & his partner. They both planned their funerals to be celebrations & I participated in the choirs. We also lost an amazing music professor who had received a place at McGill. I worked with him in a master class & he solved a problem brilliantly.
