Gucci deeply apologizes for the offense caused by the wool balaclava jumper. We consider diversity to be a fundamental value to be fully upheld, respected, and at the forefront of every decision we make. Full statement below.pic.twitter.com/P2iXL9uOhs

Is this worse because it covers all? Why is this ok to sell on Amazon? I’m not understanding. Living in very cold winter, I can appreciate a great face covering sweater.pic.twitter.com/dhdpjYBbgf

When you add lips to an all black face garment, it takes on another connotation. We did not create our perceptions towards blackface , racism did. So please respect that my people are offended.

This is why black history needs to be taught in schools. This is why more African Americans need to be in charge. All these old white people sit up in the towers unaware of issues that effect everyday people. White, black, I don't care, this is wrong and shouldn't be a debate.

So if this garment didn't have the red lips, it wouldn't be racist? If a woman then wore that version of the garment and had on red lipstick, would she be racist? Doesn't being a racist mean you have a fear or hatred for a race other than your own? Doesn't that require intent?
