was he in a uniform? also some reports say he was not licensed as a security guard and did not have a license for the gun? have you heard any of this from police? we're trying to understand why police would shoot someone that they could identify as a security guard.

I'm in law enforcement and have 45 yrs exp. in security and police. I've never seen a police officer shoot a security guard detaining someone. This sounds like a lot of misinformation. It was a chaotic scene and the officer shot someone he thought was the shooter.

The sad part is Jemel was able to deescalate the situation and subdue the victim without firing his weapon. Meanwhile our police can't do the same especially when they citizens are black.
