How you respond to BTR depends on how you respond to Sorkin. His screenplays are like modern archeological digs/explorations on historical/cultural moments, not a Lifetime biopic. BTR rightly puts Ball in the canon of a Sorkin Smartest-Person-In-the-Room This ILL fan loves it.

A Spaniard portraying a Cuban? Why? Javier fail to portray a convincing Desi Arnez. The way Desi moved, sang and all those terrific expressions! He had outstanding comedic ability! Sadly, none of that is evident in this disjointed film. C-
