So basically Society is saying we are going to judge you for everything you’ve ever said or done...forever, so don’t worry about growing, learning, improving etc. it will never be forgiven. Whatever.

in other news 200 species went extinct today and Brazil's president set up plans to destroy 3/4s of the Amazon rain forest, thereby condemning all life on earth to join those 200

This was not an insult at all..Truly..this was the right approach as it made common sense
-
You can decide that as a member of the black lgbtq community right?pic.twitter.com/lqCoEOcHGt
-
No I can't. I am not going to get into Twitter war..I just think Ellen had a point
-
Nobody’s getting into a twitter war girl. Lol I’m just saying you can’t decide what does or does not insult someone when THEY are the ones who feel insulted.

He has a right to be offended. I have a right to say shut up and let the comedian tell jokes. Everyone knows Kevin is a harmless guy. Quit with the fake outrage.

Kevin Hart is a little shit and he knows what he did: expressed hate. Yeah it was a few years ago but where is the evidence that he has changed any? I adore Ellen but this time she should have stayed out of it.
-
You probably do not know him personally, probably never met him, making judgement of what he believes in today. Yet Ellen is actually good friends with him, and she does know where his heart is today. Don't you think that if she had any doubt, this would have happened?

It’s morbidly fascinating to me to watch two likable, media savvy people botch this situation so badly. Here’s my take:https://link.medium.com/EpxClcFydT

I haven’t experienced what you have but he said he’s sorry, words matter, he’s grown and he will not repeat what he tweeted in 2008 etc. What does a person have to do to be forgiven? I’d really like to understand!
-
I outlined that in my column, but namely I’d like him (and Ellen) to explain to their audiences how these statements create real-world violence and explain what he said was indefensible. By letting people continue to defend those statements, it only allows homophobia to spread.
-
They pretty much did. But his words are not the point of this tirade against him. His words have been addressed, discusses; over. His comedy has greatly changed over 10 yrs. You realize this was 10 yrs ago, not 10 days ago? This is some other sort of agenda and it’s sick.

There should be no mention of race when we are talking about a group that represents people’s sexual orientation
-
That’s not how anything works. At all.

I am thankful that
@KevinHart4real did not back down to the academy. He has every right to his own opinions. Whether you agree with them or not he is not some robot that is required to think and act like you want.https://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/culture/gabriel-hays/2019/01/04/rob-schneider-blasts-pc-culture-free-louis-ck-jokes-are-fcking … -
I take it you can't imagine growing up knowing your favorite sold millions of copies of a video telling the world you might be gay and he'll do whatever is in his power to change you? And he does have the right to his opinion, but that doesn't mean the Academy should bow to him.
