  2. Today is . Much more needs to be done to safeguard and protect the basic human rights of LGBTQ+ people across the world, where in many countries they face unimaginable cruelty and prejudice. There is also more we can do here in the UK. 1/3

    Vile in London or any part of the UK will not help the struggle of Palestinians in the Middle East. It will not end the violent situation in Israel and Palestine. Report perpetrators of Anti-Semitism. I don't want to see our communities pitted against each other.

    The UN Special Envoy to the Middle East Peace Process has warned that the situation in Israel/Palestine is “escalating towards a full-scale war”. Yesterday I called on the Govt to act. We need the full force of the international community to say: this must stop. The UK must lead.

  8. Over the last week every effort has been made to reach a four-party deal for chairing Assembly Committees according to the number of seats from the election. Sadly Labour chose not to join us, declining key Chairs this year including Police, Fire and Health.

    Leaseholders have been betrayed by the Conservatives. Lib Dems tried 5 times in the Fire Safety Bill to prevent leaseholders from having to pay the costs of making their homes safe. But the Tories refused.
