Mental illness is the core issue in this case. In other cases, like Chicago, it's socio-economic issues. Gun laws only prevent law-abiding citizens from protecting themselves from armed criminals.

Not likely. Dems only want to pass another law so they can say they did "something" and give it lip service to get votes. Then the law will be ignored or weakened just like all the others have been. We already have enough laws...Just enforce the damned things!
