@THEHermanCain You know that the avg teacher pay takes in areas with high cost of living (e.g. NYC, LA, SF, etc), and skews the avg, right?

@THEHermanCain To even suggest teachers are overpaid is laughable. Teachers are undervalued AND underpaid. Bc of this exact attitude.

@THEHermanCain @BestofCain I don't have an issue with teachers earning a good living, but it's time to end the unions and bloated pensions.

@THEHermanCain @BestofCain here in GA no unions. Bc I am confident of my abilities I have no prob with observations and such.

@THEHermanCain @BestofCain i I live outside of ATL and truly struggle to make ends meet. Yet I still have to buy supplies for students too.

@THEHermanCain Teachers DON'T get paid vacay: contract for only 190 days: just the time spent in school. Most work every night and weekend

@THEHermanCain Compared to others with their education level, pay is low ( in NONunion states, like GA).

@THEHermanCain @BestofCain I'm a teacher in VA and the median pay here is about $10K more than I make. My own kids qualify for free lunch!
