Re-strengthening the lungs is a long and slow process, and the doctors want to be thorough about it.

We'd like him to be able to come home now, which is frustrating, but we're glad the doctors are being thorough and making sure they do the job right. Thank you for praying, everyone. Please keep doing it. He really is getting better, which means it is working.

Treated with oxygen for his lungs is the alternative facts version of saying he's on a ventilator
-
High flow O2 is part of the preferred treatment and avoiding ventilator as much as possible

Sounds pretty real to me. Hope he gets better soon and learns to wear a mask.

I don't know how you measure a few days, but 25 days seems a lot in my book.

Average hospital stay for COVID-19 is 10-13 days. he's been there almost 30. Since the tweet ruled out organ problems, he's almost certainly on a vent. He's not been there for 25+ days just getting O2 through a mask.
