Who gets to decide what “awful“ speech is? I’ve heard some pretty horrendous things shared by others that should’ve gotten them “canceled” under the same mode of thinking, but not a peep is heard in response to them. It’s the selectivity about this that that’s most concerning.

I’m confused. The article defends free speech and not cancelling a person even if they have “horrendous” ideas. Ultimately, Scriputre defines objective moral standards and should be used to guide the nature and content of our speech.
