Any Union is unfavorable for the economy. They don't operate in the "Invisible Hands" economic model efficiently. They suffocate businesses that thrive & they leech on Capitalistic ideas.

Having been a PBA local president I can assure you the most important role of police unions is ensuring DUE PROCESS is given to an employee being disciplined. Keep in mind...there is always a contentious relationship between management (Chief) and union (rank & file cops).
