I agree Herman ... it seems like the state of MN is trying to dodge the ball of responsibility ... These Cops don’t need to be fired , they need to be arrested ...

I believe in due process. But it is clear his gross negligence has deemed him unfit to continue in a position of authority, to protect and serve the community that is supposed to have trust in their ability to protect them. I believe the chief made the correct call. Now justice.

I don't know the decision process for all 4, but the one kneeling on his neck should face charges in addition to firing. 2 others physically restraining were not necessarily acting inappropriately and might not have had full view or focus on the other officer.

This looks bad. But I do support due process. What happened prior to the video? Autopsy results? Cause of death? I really don’t understand why everyone wants to render judgement before the facts are known.

It is very bad. More than lust looks it. A cuffed man. Crushed to death.....very bad.

Although this is tragic and wrong: I would like to see the question posed: Had this been a caucasian, would the public be as equally upset. Did the officer give a statement as to why he felt the need to continue applying pressure. I have not seen these questions anywhere.

Or was it done to deflect the attention that will be on this incident?

Please interview Mayor & find out why they taught officers to use these choke holds? If city directed “non-lethal” choke holds (oxymoron), then they were following orders (was training deficient?) - and MASSIVE LAWSUIT by police probable!

The three most powerful tools law enforcement has is selection, training, and supervision! Anything less and this is what we get!
