My wife and we’re there about 2 years ago on a cruise. I was so sad to see a once beautiful country look like a 3rd world war zone. Very very sad.

Yes life was miserable for the Cuban people but you red right and blue never mention the fact that we the US cut them off because of our butthurt politicians and slapped Castro's hand when he tried to establish relations with us. Gawd I'm tired of the one sided narrative!

Cuba was a prosperous country w/ an existing high literacy rate BEFORE Castro took over and made it the poor Communist backwater it is.
