1/2 How much of the $7.25/hour do the prisoners receive or in direct benefits like toiletries? Bloomberg pays X who subcontracts Y who pays Dept of Corrections. It sounds like some people are making $$$ off of prison labor.

2/2 Why not allow prisoners to accumulate some $$$ in an account & receive upon release? It might help reduce some recidivism. Or .... Couldn’t the prisoner direct that $$$ to their family?
