Any insight into why you think he might have had such a more solemn tone in this speech? I take no issue with the content itself, but he seemed far less animated and for more subdued in his delivery here than nearly all of his other speeches.

This was addressing the UN, not a campaign rally. It was a ballsy speech, and he was serious. Seemed like his polite way of flipping everyone the bird. I wish we’d see more of this than his stupid tweets.

A somnabulent Trump delivered the speech as written, mostly reading it correctly from the teleprompter. The message was to insult the UN, all its member states and every delegate in the room in that it renounced every organization and process that keeps peace & prosperity.
