The Hope Scholarship needs to go as well. Upper middle class parents browbeat their kids into taking AP classes, getting tutors, SAT prep, and forcing them to study until they need medication for anxiety, just so they don't have to pay for college they can easily afford.

I guess we just weren't paying attention, and now we turn around and our society is sick almost unto death. We should have prevented it. Fixing it will be a lot tougher.

College has become way to expensive for most parents to afford. Public education should be affordable... not free. Maybe they needs to audit colleges to see why it is so expensive especially for online students. Work smarter not harder...? Time for education to learn more

And average Americans take out loans to help pay overpriced tuition for their children! Just like inflated prices of healthcare!

There is always someone who can cheat the system. Then there are people like me, a widow with 3 kids who didn’t qualify for any tuition assistance. We have had to get loans for what I couldn’t pay for. I don’t make 250K either!
